ALCOSAN and AE Works discussed the design of the Environmental Compliance Facility at the recent International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL) Conference. Considered to be the world's leading conference on laboratory sustainability best practices, the event hosted lab owners and operators, designers, engineers, safety managers, and users discussing post-pandemic lab recovery, energy efficiency advancements, and much more.
ALCOSAN Project Engineer Cody Edgell and AE Works Senior Project Architect Fred Santoro, RA discussed how the design of the Environmental Compliance Facility Laboratory is supporting ALCOSAN’s climate resilience charge and re-imagining laboratory operations. The building solution embraces the organization’s commitment to sustainability and enables organizational flexibility to adapt to changing testing protocols. Like the details of the water ALCOSAN tests, every detail of this facility was explored and purposefully designed to enable operational efficiency, laboratory best practices and provide a sustainable and economically smart investment that will continue to serve the region for a long time.
