For the past decade, AE Works has proudly supported the Veterans Leadership Program (VLP). Today, we are excited celebrate the groundbreaking of their new Headquarters and to continue our partnership as the architectural and engineering firm for the project.
The VLP recently acquired the former Good Shepherd Catholic School and Convent, located in the Pittsburgh area of Braddock, Pennsylvania. The rehabilitated facility will serve as VLP’s operational headquarters, providing area Veterans with one-stop access to the continuum of services provided by VLP and their community partners.
“We are excited to begin this project and start a new chapter in the story of Veterans Leadership Program in Braddock. The story of Braddock is one of resilience, grit, and determination. These are traits that can also be found in our nation’s Veterans. On this site we will provide housing, supportive services, and access to critical resources for our regions Veterans; and it is with that same resilience, grit, and determination, that they will overcome any obstacles that come their way. Veterans Leadership Program is proud to contribute to the ongoing revitalization of Braddock, and we look forward to calling Braddock home for many years to come,” said, Ben Stahl, D.Sc., Chief Executive Officer of Veterans Leadership Program.
Serving Veterans since 1982, Veterans Leadership Program is a Veteran-centric human service organization that provides housing, employment, wellness, and supportive services to Veterans and their family members residing in 30 counties throughout Western and Central Pennsylvania.
“AE Works is honored to support the important mission of the Veterans Leadership Program. This milestone project will further support VLP's commitment to helping Veterans reach their fullest potential. We are excited about the expansion of services and the enhanced environment this new headquarters will provide for Veterans," said Michael Cherock, PE, Founder, President & CEO of AE Works.
