Government Meeting and Conference Center
With multi-functional areas for meetings and events, these conference center spaces are at the heart of our client’s workplace.
The goal of the project was to provide flexible and modern conference rooms along with breakout spaces for casual meetings. A café space and updated AV systems and finishes complete the project.

Flexible conference spaces
This work follows a 2017 AE Works assessment of the existing spaces and infrastructure, including lighting, restroom accessibility, AV recommendations, and finish upgrades and replacements.
The auditorium renovations created a very adaptable, large meeting space for a multitude of organizational needs with advanced technology, improved acoustics, and finishes.
Conference rooms were reconfigured to utilize Skyfold wall partitions that are highly rated for their acoustic soundproofing and retract into the ceiling to maximize floor space creating private, yet flexible meeting spaces in a variety of sizes.
A welcoming meeting experience
The redesigned spaces offer a brighter, flexible, and more welcoming meeting experience with new modern furnishings, contemporary lighting with colorful graphic accents, and technology upgrades to meet current and future AV needs.
A new café provides meeting-goers the opportunity to grab-n-go a variety of popular coffee shop offerings. The café was designed under the Maryland Business Enterprise Program for the Blind, providing opportunities for individuals who are legally blind to operate food services businesses within government facilities.
