As part of the university undergoing transformations of their three existing interrelated student life centers, Student Union Building I was renovated and expanded into a new Student Services Center.

Integrating the New Addition onto Campus

Delivered under a Design/Build project methodology, this project includes a masonry and glass addition that extends the palette of existing building materials to provide a more contemporary approach to massing and definition of entry. All of this is done while carefully considering how the building appears and feels in relation to other buildings on campus.

Enhancing Visibility

A key point of the project was to provide a new entry to the building. This new space opens to a dramatic two-story atrium that enhances a visual understanding of the services available to students.

This project was designed in collaboration with Grimm+Parker.
