Sports & Exhibition Authority, Heinz Field (Now Acrisure Stadium)
Acrisure Stadium, constructed to replace the aging Three Rivers Stadium, is a state-of-the-art facility on Pittsburgh's North Shore. Serving as the home for the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers, it has become a landmark of the city’s sports culture.
Working as the associate architect, we assisted HOK Sport+Venue+Entertainment (now Populous) with creating a football-specific venue that addressed the needs of modern fans while reflecting Pittsburgh’s unique heritage.

The design prominently features its steel structure, honoring the city's industrial roots, and incorporates an open south end that connects the stadium to downtown, enhancing accessibility and the overall game day experience.
Acrisure Stadium has solidified its status as one of the NFL's premier venues, seating 65,000 fans in a modified horseshoe configuration that showcases views of Point State Park and the Pittsburgh skyline.
The stadium not only revitalizes the North Shore but also boosts local tourism and community engagement, evidenced by hosting high-profile events such as Taylor Swift's 2023 concert, which set a record for the highest ticketed event in Pittsburgh’s history.
“WTW (an AE Works Company)'s participation and involvement on the project have been a tremendous asset for the project's success. It was a pleasure working with your staff and hopefully in the near future we will have another opportunity to continue our relationship.”
